| A White Rabbit for Aidan |
 |
| A Rainbow for Ella |
We were invited to a Winnie-the-pooh party this weekend. One of Aidan and Ella's new friends was turning 3!
I think A&E may have been the only children from the class that were invited or maybe the only ones who made it. They had a ball. Facepainting, mini-moon bounce in the back yard, croquet mallets, a little slide and pooh-bear pez dispensers + two helpings of cake and ice cream. It was really fun for them. We were given little pooh-bear ears attached to headbands to wear. One of the guests took a great picture of Dan with his on. Wish I could post that for you now...priceless! The invitation also gave us a chance to check out the "westbank" (west bank of the river) neighborhoods. As we drove back over the enormous bridge that surmounts the Mississippi we encountered a toll booth. Apparently, you have to pay a toll to get back into the city - one dollar. Not knowing this and not having any cash on us- not even four quarters - we had to explain to the toll booth attendant that we are brand new to the city and didn't expect the toll. Very embarrassing as the cars lined up behind us but, he was pretty nice about it. And, thank you toll booth Jebus for no one honking at us. One of us - most likely me - will have to return to the westbank toll office on Monday to pay the dollar - plus another dollar to get back home. But, it was worth it. We had a lovely time at our first shindig in NOLA. The moral of the story is don't go to the westbank without some cash!
And, Happy Birthday little Ralph!
