Days are getting longer

The snow is falling in big slow lazy flakes this morning. The kind of snow fall you see in NYC or on the made for TV Charlie Brown Christmas special. It's beautiful and I'm enjoying it. I'm also thinking about Spring. Yesterday evening we went for a drive with the twins out Barracks Rd to Owensville Rd. and then back home on Ivy Rd - we like that loop - and as we were driving I noticed the sun was still setting. There was still light in the sky, the mountains were silhouetted, the clouds were pink and brown but the sun had gone down behind the hills. I checked the clock and it was 6pm and I thought - Aaahhh, yes, Spring IS coming. I love that. Noticing that the days are getting longer can feel like seeing the light at the end of a tunnel and knowing that relief is on its way. But, for now I'm enjoying the snowfall.
